Biography
Coach V is entering her second year coaching at Frisco Flyers as a U16 USA Coach. She started her volleyball career as a spectator to her mother's coaching career. She played recreational volleyball until 5th grade, when she began her club volleyball career. In 7th grade, her team made their first USAV National's appearance with her as a starting setter. In 8th grade, her club team went to National's again and took 12th place, after a successful regional season. She made her high school team's Varsity as a Freshman Middle Hitter in her school season that upcoming year under Karen Alsager. Her and two of her other club teammates did as well. All three Freshman started a majority of the season and led the team to a 4A State Championship after a 33-0 season. That following club season the girls received multiple National Bids (Open Division) and took 2nd that year overall. The following high school season they took 2nd at State and Coach V made the Inland Empire Second-Team. Her Sophomore club season the team won multiple National Bids again and took 5th at National's. By Junior year, her high school team gained regional attention and the girls won their 2nd 4A State Championship. She made the Inland Empire 1st Team & the State of Idaho All-State team. She beat her school's block record that season as well. Her Junior season she played for Sideout VBC. They also received a National bid and attended in Dallas, Texas that year. By Junior year she received numerous D1 offers, and signed her Senior Year to her parents alma mater, Whitworth University (D2) in Spokane, WA. Her Senior year of high school her team took 3rd at the 4A State Championships, where she ended her high school career match with a high of 25 kills & 7 blocks. She received her second Inland Empire League & All-State team award that season. Her senior year she took time off of club due to a back injury and helped out coaching with a U14 team for NIVBC. She wound up with a career-ending injury her Freshman season of college, which inspired her passion for fitness & rehabilitative movement. She graduated from Boise State University in 2017, with a BBA in Entrepreneurship Management and works her full-time career in Tech Sales for a Robotic Process Automation company based in Austin, Texas. Coach V is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach & Women's Fitness Specialist as well. She enjoys spending her free time with her two daughters': Laisha (9) and Chiara (<1), and their dog Duke. She looks forward to bringing a winning mentality & successful season to her team this coming year.
