The rules of communication between a college coach and a prospective athlete can be confusing. Below is a general guideline to when, where, and how communication may take place. 

REMEMBER: **Athletes are always allowed to call coaches at any time.**

Women's Volleyball Recruiting Calendar / Terms ** The following dates change year to year**


Dead Period - No in person contact with coaches. Coaches may not watch student athletes compete or visit their high schools. Coaches can communicate via all digital channels including social media. 

Quiet Period - Coaches can talk to student athletes and parents on campus. Emails and phone calls are allowed but no in person contact off the college campus.

Evaluation Period - Coaches can watch a game/practice or visit student athlete's school. No face to face contact off the college campus.

Contact Period - All communication is open.
