Biography
Andy is celebrating his 25th year as a coach, marking his 22nd year as a Club Director and his third year with the Flyers. Alongside his wife Brandy, he founded Nitro Volleyball Club back in 2002. Their journey was recognized in Andy's article, "Starting a Club: The Story Behind the Creation of Nitro," published in Coaching Volleyball magazine in April 2007.
Andy's impact extends beyond club creation; he's helped numerous players fulfill their collegiate aspirations. Some of the institutions where his players have excelled include Air Force, University of Alabama, Duke, Stanford University, and more.
His coaching prowess has seen success at the highest levels, with his teams medaling at prestigious tournaments like the 2017 GJNC 16 Open Division, where they finished 3rd nationally. He's also achieved success at multiple National Qualifiers, consistently placing teams in the top 25 nationwide.
His extensive coaching experience spans various clubs and schools, including his current role as Director and Head Coach at Frisco Flyers Volleyball Club. Notable achievements include leading Summit Volleyball Club to bronze medals at the GJNC in 2021 and 2023. He's also left his mark in high school volleyball, securing championships and runner-up titles at The Hockaday School Dallas and coaching stints at other esteemed institutions.
In addition to his on-court accomplishments, Andy has invested in coaching education, earning certifications from Gold Medal Squared, USAV SafeSport, Play Like a Champion, and more. His commitment to excellence both on and off the court is evident through his continuous learning and dedication to his players' development.
