Biography
Alyssa is one of the USA coaches here at Flyers. She has been coaching for 5 years. This will be her third year coaching at Flyers. Alyssa has played volleyball for ten years and counting, and six out of the ten years she played club volleyball, while still continuing to play in competitive adult tournaments. She also has played a few years of sand volleyball as well. Alyssa has also played for the University of Texas at Dallas club volleyball team. She has played numerous positions including setter, libero, right side and outside throughout her years of playing. Alyssa has experience coaching many different ages including, 13s, 14s, 16s, and even younger ages as well.
This past club season, Alyssa coached a 13s National team, and the team placed top ten in each of those tournaments. When it comes to coaching, Alyssa values making hard work your passion and teaching her teams that discipline wins games. She also believes in not only working hard, but working smart and this will allow the players to become a student of the game by taking a dive into learning all the ins and outs. A quote that has always stuck with Alyssa is , “Handle success how you handle failure” and this is something she enforces to all her players.
