Frisco Flyers is proud to announce our Fall Beach Volleyball program! This program will be held at Flyers Beach - our 4 new sand courts located just outside the Flyers Indoor facility.
Beach volleyball creates different challenges than indoor volleyball. The outdoor environment introduces variables such as sun, wind, sand, and temperature which adds to player challenges and conditioning. One of the key fundamental elements in volleyball is ball control. Whether indoor or outdoor, you need good ball control to be successful. Beach volleyball develops and enhances ball control, as there are less players on a team, requiring more accurate ball placement. It increases ball touches, another key for skills development. You also train on all volleyball skills, as beach requires an all-around player and use of all the volleyball skill sets to be successful. Playing in the sand will increase your agility and strength with lower impact. It will also increase your vertical jump and your overall quickness and movement.
